Health seeking disparities
Even though there are many causes for prostate cancer, studies show that Black men are more likely to avoid or delay seeking preventative health services, including regular screenings. Compared to the general population, African-Americans see a primary care provider 33% less often. 28% of African Americans say they have no regular doctor.
